adjective: To behave in a manner usually reserved for motorcross motorcyclists expressing themselves through extreme behaviour..
.. the Merciers earned themselves the title of Mr and Mrs Crusty at a exhibition race in Darwin more than six years ago, competing inside a speedway circuit filled with water. During their run, the ‘Crustys’ hit a bank and wound up on the wrong side of the circuit.
Without thinking twice, Greg launched Az-U-Do over the bank and ‘jumped’ back into the course, with some pretty serious air beneath the boat and the track.
The crowd immediately went wild and they earned the nickname ‘Crustys’ in reference to the Crusty Demons.
